The U.S. unemployment rate has hit 14.7 percent in April 2020. Whaaaaaaaaaat?!! Are we still wondering why so many people are protesting?
The stay-at-home orders have lasted so long that everyone is desperate to return to work. Case in point, a Texas salon owner Shelley Luther found herself thrown in jail because she defiantly courageously opened her business despite the stay-at-home order still effective in Dallas. She has to feed her children. She has to pay rent for business besides her home. She is also responsible for her employees. Does any of this resonate with you, Dear Readers?
Do you have to ask why so many of us are sinking deeper into depression?! Dear Readers, to be honest, the JMS team is having a difficult time remaining positive through this devastation. Consequently, this blog is not going to be fake and give you the motivation that is simply nonexistent at this point in time.
Instead, the purpose of this week’s shot of motivation is to bring us hope amid the chaos we are witnessing across the country. While this blog is tiny in the ocean that is the internet, the JMS team wants to touch every single one of you Dearest Readers and help you mend your broken hearts as we all fight to live another day, another week, another month.
So, as we look to our future and wonder how we are going to survive this global pandemic, let’s remember what Thomas Paine as told us:
“The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.”
There is no need for translation for this one. All this blog can do is remind you, Dear Readers, that we are a nation of hard workers who can make anything happen once we’ve set our minds to it. So Dear Readers, this blog chooses to believe that as devastating as COVID-19 has been, the more magnificent will be our comeback.
So, Dear Readers, do not despair. Let us dig deep, come together, and fight for the future that we want. Of course, it won’t be easy. This blog is not suggesting that the return to a new normal is going to be a cakewalk! Instead, Dear Readers, arm yourself with determination as you reevaluate what living with purpose should look like for you and your loved ones.
Let’s walk together toward a different normal. After all, America’s survival depends on us all, Dear Readers. Are you ready to join the fight to rebuild America? Let us know what you can do today, where you are, with what you’ve got down below in the comment section or by email at jms@branding24seven.com.
