2020 has been challenging, and to make it worst, some elected officials have suggested that we should cancel Thanksgiving. Wait a minute, Dear Readers, can we take a breath for a second and reframe the reach of this pandemic?! Must it rob us of absolutely everything?
Yes, this pandemic has been a frightening and sad occurrence. Yes, we are morning the loss of 259,925 (at the time of the writing of this publication) Americans who died prematurely due to COVID-19. But, what about the rest of us who are still here breathing by the Amazing Grace of God or any other higher power you believe in, Dear Readers? Can we go on with the precious gift of living? Can’t we remain vigilant and still share our blessings with loved ones? Can’t we be thankful for everything we’ve got despite so much pain and loss? Can’t we enjoy our families in the safety of our homes without the government putting such severe restrictions that are, in essence, appear to be holding hostage our favorite, very American tradition of thanksgiving?
This blog certainly believes so! This year has forced the JMS team to take stock of the work we have been doing with clients and of the choices we’ve made that brought us to this point today. While we are thankful for our loved ones and good health, we are also so very grateful for you, Dear Readers! We recognize that this blog would not be alive without every single one of you! And we sincerely hope that it offers you the motivation you need to keep fighting the good fight in your industry and your personal lives.
So, Dear Readers, thank you for your continued support! We plan to end the year with a bang thanks to a fantastic, awe-inspiring, well-thought-out Blogmas series to help you turn around any setback you’ve experienced during this treacherous year. We will get through this global pandemic. We will get our lives back. And we will come back stronger than before! You better believe it, Dear Readers!
From all of us at JMS, Dear Readers, have a safe yet Happy-ish Thanksgiving!!!
