It’s about that time of the year, Dear Readers, to think about how to achieve your goals in 2023. It is time to reflect and envision how you can grow next year, regardless of how hard the last few years have been.
Welcome to the JMS blog, your hub for actionable crisis management tips to level up your brand.
We are back to answer your branding questions after an unexpected, prolonged hiatus working with executives across the U.S. to assess their strengths/weaknesses and beef up leadership skills. Dear Readers, if it is your first visit, this blog is the brainchild of JMStrategy LLC (JMS), a Philadelphia-based crisis management firm that helps brands in free fall strive again.
In the aftermath of the pandemic, the Great Resignation, and the Quiet Quitting chaos, this blog shares practical insights to enhance your leadership style, team management, and goal-setting skills amid any crisis. Now, without further ado, let’s go over two actions to take right now that will help you start 2023 like a boss!
Clarity is the first ingredient you need to achieve your goals in 2023.
When planning how you will achieve your goals in 2023, Dear Readers, you want to be clear about what you want. In our boutique crisis management practice, we meet JMS clients wanting goals that may not be compatible with their responsibilities. However, each season of life has its requirements, Dear Readers. Therefore, it’s up to you to align your expectations with the reality of your situation. And most importantly, you cannot compare your life with the half-truths you see plastered on social media.
Clarity, however, comes with a robust introspection. Of course, Dear Readers, this blog recognizes that it is very uncomfortable to look at oneself honestly and take responsibility for one’s life. It is such an uneasy exercise that many people shy away from engaging in this practice. Indeed, the JMS team sees time and time again that what forces human beings into sincere introspection is a crisis of epic proportions. Remember that you only get one life! No one owes you anything, and nobody will care about your well-being as much as you do. So, why not do what’s right for you and your loved ones?
But how else, Dear Readers, can you decipher which of the decisions you’ve made in the past brought you to where you are now? If, Dear Readers, you don’t know what you are doing wrong, how do you expect to change or grow? In short, if you are serious about achieving your goals in 2023, start by gaining clarity with an honest review of the past year or two. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want us to explore this idea further.
Conciseness is the second ingredient you need to achieve your goals in 2023.
Listen, Dear Readers, being succinct is not everybody’s forte. Yet, this blog insists that you consider making your goals as simple as possible. Anything is more attainable when simplified enough! And who knows, if you achieve your goals by mid-2023, you can make new ones for the remainder of the year!
Rather than coming up with elaborate or unrealistic resolutions, you will have a hard time maintaining all year long on the first day of the new year, Dear Readers, why not take the next week to map out simple goals you want to achieve in 2023?!! This way, you have the following two weeks to tease out the systems to put in place to crash triumphantly into the new year rather than wait until the 2nd of January 2023 and succumb to the pressure of putting them on TikTok just like everyone else!
There you have it! The JMS team thanks you, Dear Readers, for taking the time to read today’s publication and welcomes you to the fourth year of the JMS Blogmas event that motivates you to be as successful as possible in the new year. You have highly requested this goal-setting series, and we are thrilled to have crafted a 6-post series to help you get what’s yours in 2023.
