Today is Wednesday. Amid this global pandemic, the number of suicides is on the rise. We are feeling lost, anxious, angry, discouraged. Dear Readers, many of you have said so in the many emails the JMS team has received over the last three weeks.
This blog wants to brighten your week, Dear Readers, by sending you mid-week good vibes starting today. Come back every Wednesday to get the shot of motivation you need to end the week on top of your game.
Today’s shot of motivation comes courtesy of Arthur Ashe. When the going gets tough and when you feel that you are at the end of your rope, remember this:
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
Translation? Mr. Ashe reminds us that what makes this country great is the resilience of the American people. Sure, things are not looking great right now. The economy is on life support. This global pandemic managed to decimate entire industries in a blink of an eye! Public health priorities are clashing with economic ones incessantly (as discussed at length here). Will the rent be paid come May 1st??!!!
Yes, with all of these preoccupations, this blog is here to encourage you to start where you are with what you have. You can do a lot more than you think, Dear Readers. You can touch someone’s life right this moment with a few words, a phone call, or even a letter (remember the good old days when it was customary to mail actual letters).
America’s survival depends on us all, Dear Readers. Are you ready to join the fight to rebuild America? Let’s do this together! After all, we are all in this together.
Let us know what you can do today, where you are, with what you’ve got down below in the comment section or by email at jms@branding24seven.com.
Come back next Wednesday for another shot of Hump Day Motivation!
