And just in case you are still a bit discouraged or find this whole prep for 2020 today a bit daunting, here are a few hacks habits to focus on starting right now that will help you channel your energy more effectively while cultivating the resilience most definitely needed to keep your eyes on your goals:
- Manage your anxiety by doing a daily brain dump at the start of your day. Truth to be told Dear Readers, we all struggle with anxiety from time to time. But, do you really want your anxiety to dictate your actions? Are decisions made under duress ever good ones? Why expect decisions made while your mind is racing and powered by anxiety or depression to turn out differently? Fear is a terrible advisor! Don’t let it ruin your progress Dear Readers and start journaling pronto!
- Use your dailies judiciously. Ever-growing lists of All. The. Darndest.
Things you have to do from sun up to sun down give you a lot of anxiety but not much else! Consider instead, Dear Readers, writing in a notebook small enough that can fit in a pocket 3 mini targets that you must accomplish and that will bring you closer to your goal (see example below).
