Dear Readers, the season of gratitude is upon us once again. Happy Thanksgiving!
Gratitude is the only way to celebrate Thanksgiving amid an impending recession!
Usually, Thanksgiving offers us a moment of respite to reflect on the blessings we’ve enjoyed so far in the year. Unfortunately, the stubbornly high inflation has made it difficult for many families to enjoy this cherished American tradition.
As we all know, Thanksgiving is the official start of the holiday season. In other words, it is the beginning of the heaviest spending season of the year! Between gift shopping for the family, decorating the house, and secret Santa gift swapping with friends or coworkers, many of you, Dear Readers, have shared that you are struggling to make your holidays merry and bright in 2022.
Before falling into a deep depression as you are worried that you cannot afford A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G, this blog asks you to reflect on what you are grateful for after the horrible global pandemic we battled for the last two years and a half. Thanksgiving Day is usually about family, friends, a good meal, and football! It is not about things. So really, Dear Readers, no need to worry about Christmas now!
Gratitude will save your life and Thanksgiving Day.
Meeting JMS clients right when a crisis mercilessly pummeled their lives has taught us that being grateful can save lives and families. Indeed, gratitude offsets all negative thoughts as they weigh us down, consuming whatever willpower we muster to have every day.
Cultivating gratitude allows us to gain a new sense of happiness, confidence, and optimism. And although setbacks will slow us down, we enjoy a new lease on life. It also improves our immune system as we work out more and recover faster thanks to better sleep/eating habits. Leave us a comment below, Dear Readers, if you know a more effective way to be more resilient to trauma.
In short, being grateful gives us the strength to face each new day and fight like hell to keep going, no matter the crisis. Don’t hesitate to get in touch, Dear Readers, if you have crisis management questions or struggling to achieve life satisfaction.
For us, Dear Readers, the JMS team cannot express enough how much gratitude we feel for the opportunity we must bring you articles that help you to live your best life! We are grateful for your unwavering support.
Dear Readers, the JMS team invites you back to the blog in December for a dynamic 2023 PREP series to help you build the habit, mindset, and framework you need to survive the next recession that promises to be long and painful for most of us.
From all of us at JMS, Happy Thanksgiving!!!
