Mental health care pro tip #1 to find peace of mind: Take a deep breath and find three things to be grateful for daily.
Dear Readers, this blog believes that success begins in your mind. Indeed, even in this darkness, amazing things are happening all around us. Find three things you can enumerate every day to give you the strength to keep on going, especially you’ve hit a wall and lack the clarity of mind to see a way out. Did you know, Dear Readers, that gratitude is the key to peace of mind?

Believing in leading by example, here are the three things the JMS team is grateful for:
- Every single hero on the front line of this pandemic selflessly fighting to provide essential services to all of us (especially if the mandatory remote learning restrictions have rendered childcare a mammoth undertaking).
- Our families’ unceasing support and belief in the work we do. They encourage us to continue impacting so many lives through the branding24seven community.
- For the touching, encouraging, and thought-provoking messages you, our Dearest Readers, continue to send us.
So, Dear Readers, find things to be grateful for every day and write them down in your gratitude notebook or a journal. Thus, when you feel your confidence dipping, a rush of anxiety creeping up, or unbridled despair invades your psyche, open your notebook and remember all the goodness that you have been lucky enough to experience (yes, amid such great devastation). Mental health care pro tip #2 to find peace of mind: Find a creative hobby that will repel all negative thoughts.
How many times have we heard that arts education is essential for our children? So why is it that adults lose their creative outlets the moment they start “adulting”? Well, mental health matters to all, even us adults!!! In this moment of crisis, Dear Readers, you need something to enrich your lives even if you are still living under the newest version of lockdown restrictions.
Some people might choose to meditate for 15 minutes per day, reduce social media and screen time, or commit to 10K steps per day. While these self-care practices are apt to help you find some peace of mind, this blog prescribes pursuing hobbies that will spur daily doses of creativity and support your journey to mental health now and even after the pandemic is all but a faint memory. Keep in mind that your hobby can be anything and not just arts and crafts.
Here are a few of our favorites here at JMS:
Baking, bread making, gardening, creating a collage board, taking up knitting or crochet, creating a list of oldies but goodies favorite songs for your private dance party, painting or coloring, or doodling or gluing stickers on A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G!!!
Dear Readers, whatever you choose to pursue, consider a hobby that captures the attention of your mind and keeps negative thoughts at bay. That’s how to take care of your mental health!
Mental health care pro tip #3 to find peace of mind: Take the time to cultivate the relationships that matter most to you, even while social distancing!
In the hustle and bustle of pre-pandemic life, Dear Readers, do you remember how we seldom took the time to let loved ones know how important they are because the focus what most likely on professional advancement. Maybe we outright took them for granted! Could it be that we mistook valuing the job above all other facets of our lives?

But unexpected setbacks such as this year-long COVID-19 disruption should put things in perspective and remind us that we need our loved ones. They are essential to our mental wellbeing, wouldn’t you say, Dear Readers? After all, the human connection is the beating heart of a happy life and a healthy mental state. One can be wealthy, but without anyone to share it with, one ends up feeling lonely, sad, and bitter. Who wants to live like this??? Certainly not the JMS team!!! Neither should you, Dear Readers!!!
Final thoughts.
